Musk Says The Altercation With Zuckerberg Will Be Broadcast Live On X

A date for Elon Musk's proposed fight with Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg is "still in flux," Musk said on Sunday, adding that the event will be live-streamed on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I'm getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week," the Tesla CEO said in a post on X.

Since June, the leaders of social media and technology have been encouraging an MMA cage fight in Las Vegas.

"Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans," Musk had said early on Sunday morning.

I'm ready today, Zuckerberg replied on his social networking platform Threads. When he first challenged, I offered August 26, but he hasn't confirmed it. I won't hold my breath.

He also advised using a more "reliable platform" that may generate donations for charitable causes.

Musk had earlier on Sunday claimed on X that he was "lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight," and that he brought the weights to work because he didn't have time to work out.

It's a civilised form of combat, Musk said when a user on X questioned the purpose of the conflict. Men love to fight.

The controversy started when Musk said in a post on June 20 that he was "up for a cage match" with Zuckerberg, who has jiujitsu training.

A day later, Musk, 52, was asked to "send location" for the rumoured fight by Zuckerberg, 39, who had previously shared images of victories on his company's Instagram network.

Musk said, "Vegas Octagon," a venue where MMA championship matches are place.

Musk then declared that if the cage fight materialised, he would begin training.
