Despite Samsung's delayed entry, analysts believe that the company’s efforts to expand HBM production could eventually close the gap. Samsung’s decision to scale back on capital expenditure in other areas to focus on its AI-driven products is a strategic realignment, allowing it to concentrate resources on sectors with higher profit potential.
